About This Project

The inventionist program is a digital department at Deutsch LA. In considering me for a new hybrid position they asked me to put together a consultation of their current business. Ultimately the conclusions were simple: differentiate the brand from the parent, diversify the portfolio, highlight talent to negate the abstract nature of ideation, and conduct unique and PR inspiring outreach. Inventionist is currently taking steps to follow several of my steps laid out in this document. I have also been told that a few of the unique CMO outreach ideas may be executed as well.

 

What was really unique about this project is that I got a chance to work with Adobe inDesign in a committed fashion. I do not have extensive experience with this platform, but this consultation package/batting practice was a great chance to make a really clean, really thought driving deck. Each page poses a questions and results in an answer. Each answer leads to the next action point on the next page. I was able to take a unique branding and re-imagine its purpose for the design of my document. Simply creating vector formats of the icons that I was presented on a briefing document was an undertaking in itself. Ultimately I used these icons to indicate the flow of the sections on their title pages; from idea, to activation, to launch I combined the new branding with the groups previous branding and assets.

 

The second half of assignment was to target 3 CMOs and create outreach programs to get them to buy into the service. Using the CMOs own words, I crafted analog and digital outreach methods to pique the interest of the target.
