The Volkswagen mobile website, or VW 2.0 as it was dubbed internally was a massive undertaking. The site was built on the Sencha Touch framework to make it appear and feel like a native mobile application experience. The website was a massive improvement over the previous m.vw.com. The site jumped in JD Power & Associates Automotive Mobile Site rankings more than any site had in one year before it.
