Most of the work I do at Uber is shrouded in secrecy. Our internal tools are not often seen outside of our many offices around the world. However, recently a feature I have been working on for the past 6 months arrived in the US.
It took a few weeks to revive the project, and a few months to design and build our MVP which launched in certain Latin American markets. We followed our initial launch by a research trip to Sao Paulo and Mexico city to help inform our V1 and V2 feature prioritization.
In-App chat has finally launched in the US as of August 8th!
